Which was the best?
How 'bout the Big 4?
I pick Slayer.
Why? Because some of their songs kick ass. They have their weak moments, yeah, but their good material is vastly better than anything the other three can put out, in my opinion.
Plus Kerry fuckin' King. Jesus Christ.
Also what the hell, poll title is hard to see.

If you like Dave Lombardo's work, check out Mike Patton's thrash/experimental metal band Fantômas. He's on drums there, and is absolutely insane.
Re: How 'bout the Big 4?
Slayer's probably the best of those 4, and they are terrible live today.
Metallica just sucks today.
Anthrax is okay, but nowhere near as good as when they began.
And Megadeth has an amazing fucking guitarist (Chris Broderick), but they still have Dave Mustaine who is just an angry drunk who's all pissed off because Metallica kicked him out.
But yeah of these 4 I'd say the two it'd probably be tie between for me are Megadeth and Slayer. But for poll sake, I'm gonna have to go with Slayer as well. From their beginning on, they just fucking ruled the Thrash scene.
(awaits to have rage responses)
Also it's really disappointing that Exodus never made it into the Big 4, they are honestly my favorite thrash metal band, but I suppose they were never recognized enough to make it into this group, and I don't remember if they came onto the scene at the same time as the others, but they were and are amazing. Die hard Exodus fan, I am. \m/

knew that was coming.
Not to associate one show as their entire performance anywhere else, but when they played live here, their sound was VERY bad. And I REALLY dislike their new stuff, also. They were best during the 80's and in Reign In Blood. If you can find any song they've recently put out that isn't boring, please direct me. Not saying they're a terrible band, their newer stuff just isn't anything like their older, and they don't really appeal to me much today.

Yeah Know What You A Bit. Don't really Care For Their New Stuff, But They Seasons in The Abyss. It Was Great. The Pretty Much Only Played Older Stuff, Except For 2 New Songs.

Re: How 'bout the Big 4?
It's kind of funny how the majority of their set is older stuff, it's as if they know that's pretty much what everyone wants to hear (Which I guess they could via album sales and track popularity and whatnot). But yeah, I won't say they're a TERRIBLE band, just I've heard they aren't so swift live, but then again it WAS at Mayhem here, and every venue here is horrendously shitty. All the sound guys in my area suck. A lot of bands that play here (if they do) don't really get great sound because of the dipshits we have. If any sound engineers are out there reading this, please come take over the venues here, we need our bands to sound good.

They were at the Verizon Center Here. Sounds Was Epic. Played With Megadeth And Testament. Shit Was Crazy Though. Tom Araya Looks Fatter Now, And Like Max Cavalera (When I saw Soulfly) He Didn't Move Around So Much Anymore.

Hopefully I'll have that same experience if I ever go see Slayer. Also, Testament! \m/

Re: How 'bout the Big 4?
Probably tallic for me because I was listening to them before I could talk pretty much, but I love Anthrax.
Re: How 'bout the Big 4?
Megadeth are the only REAL band on that list.
Never got into Anthrax... Poor old Anthrax.
